The 20th Annual Big-Time Basketball Camp promises to be the best and most exciting basketball camp in the area. Director Jeff Risener promises Big-Time will once again provide all the ingredients for a great summer for your son or daughter. Jeff has coached on the college and high school level for 30 years, most of them as the Head Coach at John Jay College in NYC. His teams have been extremely successful in the past having won conference and tournament championships. Jeff has been voted Coach of the Year, President of the CUNY Basketball Coaches Association and the Hudson Valley Athletic Conference. Jeff is presently the Head Basketball Coach at Roslyn H.S. His teams have made the playoffs, and played in the Nassau County championship game in 2002. Jeff teaches in the Oceanside School District. Jeff is also an active member of the National Association of Basketball Coaches and served on the Awards Committee and Congress. He is regarded as one of the top clinicians in the area, regularly conducting clinics for schools and youth groups. In addition he has written a book entitled "How to Raise Your Child in the World of Sports". Jeff has also published a number of basketball and sports articles in newspapers, coaching manuals and magazines. He holds a B.S. from LIU and and M.S. from St. John's University. A resident of Oceanside, Jeff is very excited about the 20th Annual Big-Time Basketball Camp. Judging from the past and the enormous number of positive comments by parents and campers the Big-Time Basketball Camp will have another great summer giving youngsters the opportunity to learn and develop skills, play games, and develop new friendships in a healthy, fun-filled environment.
